One crazy week: Baltimore Child Photographer

March 21, 2010

Monday, March 15, was my 28th birthday.  It feels weird to be another year older, but 2010 seems promising, and a birthday is almost like its own separate new year.  Starting fresh again, I really hope to move towards big things this year!

That said, my nephew’s 2nd birthday was on March 17th and my boyfriend hijacked his party and proposed.  Woo! After 5 years, we’re finally engaged. Maybe after another 5, we’ll finally be married! ha!  I never noticed just how much a wedding changes people.  People I don’t even know are way more excited for us than we are.  Maybe it’s because they dream of weddings and I never have, besides oogling pictures shot by my favorite wedding photographers? :)  We’re not heading into big grand wedding territory though.  We’re talking tiny town wedding here, completely untraditional.  I’d love to elope but our families would kill us!

I’ve been a terrible blogger so far, but I hope to get better.  I can always pretend I’m planning some fabulous wedding if I fall off the internet, right?  But you’d know it’s a lie because we probably won’t even set a date for quite some time!  Is it wrong to say that I really need a new car before I need  a wedding?

And what good is a blog without a picture? I wish it could be a “suck it, single bitches!” shot of the ring on my hand that’s so popular on Facebook but it’s currently being sized and all that good nonsense, so maybe in a week.   Speaking of Facebook, after I told some people their statuses were immediately changed to pity parties about how everyone is getting married and they’re not.  Anyone else experienced that? I didn’t realize it would ruin other people’s lives if Bryan and I continue to live and be together!  That’s for another day I guess.

Here’s a shot of Jack, who will be happier once she’s no longer an illegitimate kitty.
